Jason McIntyre is a regular contributor to a number of FS1’s daily studio shows.
In 2006, McIntyre anonymously started “The Big Lead,” a blog that took an alternative, more incisive look at sports than most traditional media. The site also aggressively covered sports media itself, making waves across the industry. “The Big Lead” was purchased by USA Today in 2012, and remains one of the nation’s most popular sports blogs under McIntyre’s leadership.
McIntyre started his media career at The Bergen Record (N.J.) as a staff writer. Later, he transitioned to magazines, working as a reporter and then editor at US Weekly. He also has freelanced for many outlets, including ‘Maxim,” ‘ESPN The Magazine,” ESPN.com and CBSSports.com.
In September 2015, McIntyre joined FOX Sports Radio as host of the Saturday sports talk show “The Big Lead,” previewing the weekend in sports and welcoming the biggest guests in sports media. Prior to joining FOX Sports Radio, McIntyre hosted “The Jason McIntyre Show,” a national sports talk show for Yahoo Sports Radio.
McIntyre graduated from James Madison University with a concentration in journalism. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
